Girls, have you ever imagined to have a robot boyfriend? Herm, I guess after watching this Japanese series, Absolute Boyfriend, you would like to have one! Frankly, I don't really watch series. But, after watching this story that my sis borrowed from her friend during the holidays...I can't deny that I kept remembering the story.
So sweet, to have a boyfriend that are loyal and always claim that he loves you! So sweet, when all his actions are just to make you happy. When he sees you happy and your smiling face, only that he will be happy. Although Night Tenjo is just a robot, he starts developing his true love to Riko. For him, Riko is the best girlfriend in the world that he tries many things to make Riko happy. He is actually designed to be just an ideal boyfriend and dedicated lover to his owner. Amazingly, this great emotion starts developing without control inside him, that it is beyond what he is being programmed for. His desire to be a perfect boyfriend and keep Riko happy, just made him like a normal human being. He keeps all their memories inside his programming chip.
As time goes by, Night never-ending love touches Riko's heart that she left her ambition behind. But at the same time, Night is facing malfunctioning. His energy keep reducing but he always fight to survive for Riko. At last, he knows that his system is going to shut down. His system is overloaded with his own created emotion, which makes the chip to defect. After saying he loves Riko forever while she is sleeping, he returns himself to his maker, Namikiri. He left his programming chip to Namikiri to give it to Riko. He soon 'dies' full-in-love to Riko. Riko reads the chip. Inside the chip, Night says that he loves Riko forever!
